Lucía was born in Madrid, but grew up in an international environment in Luxembourg. She studied Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid, an MA in Filmmaking at ESCAC Film School and has two degrees in Drama & Physical Theatre.
In 2011 she directed her first professional short film Papá te quiere mucho (Dad loves you very much), with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Spain ICAA, winner of two first prizes and selected in numerous International and National Film Festivals.
In 2014 she directed The Heat Wave, supported by the Film Fund of Luxembourg. It's World Premiere was at the Montreal World Film Festival 2015. It has won a Special Mention of the Jury at the Zaragoza Film Festival 2015, the Judges Award at the Iron Mule Short Comedy Screening Series (New York 2016), and a Short Comedy Prize at the United Latino International Film Festival (Cleveland 2016). It has over 45 Selections in International Short Film Festivals and more than 165.000 views in the Online Short Film Festival FIBABC.
In 2017 she was awarded best short film screenplay at the Filmreakter Screenwriting Short Film Contest for 'Toi aussi ça te chatouille?'. The short film, produced by Red Lion with the participation of Film Fund Luxembourg, is currently in distribution and has received two prizes for best short film.
Her first documentary short film Detrás de los Hilos, filmed in Trinidad (Cuba), around the project 'Entre Hilos, Alas y Pinceles' by the painter Yudit Vidal Faife and her team of 20 embroiderers. It has 4 awards at International Film Festivals and Official Selections all around the World.
She is one of the founders of Directed by Women Spain, a celebration of films directed by women in Spain in Cineteca, part of the International movement Directed by Women.
She works in cinema and advertisement in Luxembourg and Spain as a filmmaker, screenwriter and script supervisor.
